Where'd you get that tow hook? I busted mine and need a replacement.
This road is great fun in a Fit driving at 6/10. Pushing it any harder than that is taking chances with the lives of the others on the road. If you really want to explore the limits of the car and your ability, then go to a track. It's an environment with safety features and where hazards are removed or at least reduced as much as practical. It's a place where you can relax and focus on going fast without worry about traffic or cops. It's a place where you can benefit from the experience and instruction of others. Once you have track experience, you will realize how irrelevant driving fast on a public road is.
lol I’ll still somehow manage to strip my lug nuts. Those Subaru threads are so weak
yeah they are very soft. I had to replace 2 studs after a tire shop over tq the hell out if them.
Any tips to get those nasty link mounts out? Tools to use? I've tried a wrenches and swivel socket but could not get the front drivers out. Gave up, only replaced one bushing
@MrTriesToDoItYourself I think I used a long 12 mm socket & turned the steering wheel until it gave me the most room. Even then I think I could only slowly loosen it a lil bit at a time.
How do you know if the OSG you are ordering is a 1 way or 1.5 way differential? Do you need to request setup to the place you order from?
most places you buy from should have a drop down menu to select between 1 , 1.5 or 2 way. But i had Jackie from phd order it for me so he did all that ha.

What about backlash adjustment Trip? I'd heard the OS Giken were drop in but really?
@stevebodalenko5286 yeah I got a lil ahead of my self. Glued the cover on then remembered. I even bought the tools to do it
@@TripSkyWalker No differential whine then? Perhaps they are a genuine drop in and go racing item.
@@stevebodalenko5286 Sounds the same as Stock no whine or funny noises. I was told they are drop in as long as nothing else major was changed or adjusted. but still doesnt hurt to check.
I stopped counting after transmission #15. There are 4 sitting in my garage right now. I'm currently running a 2022 for the first time and it does seem to be smother/better. Got it because I was told the forks were stronger to support the extra torque. Only after installing a transmission fluid cooler, they started to last longer than a season.
I sure hope you are overexaggerating thats alot. I might have to look into a cooler
@TripSkyWalker Nop. I've been running the car hard since 2014 though.
Trans is probably toast, this is how mine went sadly but went more violently. Just a thing :/ On the other hand, wrecked GR86/BRZ (Gen 2) are starting to show up for sale :)
Are the trans any better in those?
@@TripSkyWalker from what I've been able to gather 4th might be stronger but have still seen 1 or 2 fail from track use out this way. I'm still hunting for one now as the cars should be on the lower millage side.

Hey Trip, did you correct your speedo for the new gearing? I was thinking about it since you had more top speed. Shouldn't you have less?
I did not. i did not take that into consideration. Going over my Apex pro Data the fastest i went per GPS is 123 mph before it was 120. My max topspeed in each gear is reduced but i never made it to the top of 5th

@@TripSkyWalker I just went from the 4.67 to the 4.5 , also think about getting the greddy high capacity diff cover, I found myself changing the fluids more often than with the factory torsen.

@daniyaalmaneveld3779 other then getting rid of the play I had it feels normal. Forget I have them. I never measured my angle to see how much extra I got.
